CMC Industrial Grade (C₈H₁₅NaO₈)

Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose. Grades: Industrial Grade · High Viscosity Grade · Medium Viscosity Grade · Low Viscosity Grade

Product description

Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is a white to off-white, odorless, free-flowing powder derived from natural cellulose. It is a water-soluble anionic polymer widely used as a thickener, stabilizer, binder, suspending agent, and water-retention additive in numerous industrial applications. Industrial Grade CMC provides excellent viscosity control, film-forming properties, and stability, making it an essential ingredient in construction materials, detergents, paper manufacturing, mining, textiles, and other industrial processes.

Uses

Detergent Industry — anti-redeposition agent that prevents dirt from settling back onto fabrics.
Paper Industry — improves paper strength, surface smoothness, coating performance, and printability.
Textile Industry — used as a sizing, thickening, and finishing agent for yarns and fabrics.
Construction Materials — enhances water retention, workability, and adhesion in cement-based mortars, tile adhesives, and gypsum products.
Mining Industry — acts as a binder and rheology modifier in mineral processing and flotation applications.
Ceramics Industry — improves green strength and serves as a binder during ceramic forming.
Paints & Coatings — functions as a thickener, stabilizer, and viscosity modifier.
Adhesives Industry — enhances bonding strength and application consistency.
Oil Drilling — used as a fluid-loss control and viscosity modifier in drilling fluids.
General Industrial Applications — used wherever improved suspension, thickening, binding, or water retention is required.
