Product description

Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) is a white, odorless, granular powder with a purity of ≥99.1%. It is a non-flammable, water-soluble alkaline compound (pH 11.1) that dissociates into sodium and carbonate ions upon contact with water. It is one of the most widely used industrial chemicals globally, available in light and dense grades to suit different application requirements.

Uses

Glass Manufacturing — the largest consumer (50%+ of production), used as a key intermediate
Soap & Detergent Industry — acts as a builder in detergent formulations
Chemical Industry — intermediate for sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium silicate, sodium percarbonate, sodium chromate, and sodium bicarbonate
Steel Industry — fluxing agent in slag formation to remove phosphorus
Pulp & Paper — source of alkalinity
Textiles Industry — processing aid
Environmental — effluent & acid waste neutralization
Cleaning — laundry, dishwashing, floor washing, and degreasing solutions
Consumer Products — washing powders, soaps, cosmetics, and scouring powders
